We just celebrated our first holiday in Guam. Well first major kid holiday. We didn't bother to carve pumpkins because number one they are expensive and number two they don't last long here. Well, they would but you have to refrigerate them every night. I would forget and the darn thing would rot and smell up the whole neighborhood so I just skipped on it. My neighbor though had a really good idea and spray painted coconuts orange with jack-o-lantern faces. Great option for next Halloween. We spent Halloween with friends in the village of Sinajana. Halloween here is really big with families getting together to BBQ while the kids trick or treat. Just about every house on the street we were on had BBQs and handed out candy to the kids. We had all kinds of trick or treaters. We even had a guy dressed as Jesus with a cross and all. I wish I could have taken a picture of him. He was joking with us because we only gave him one piece of candy. He said "thats all you have for Jesus, just one piece of candy?" I said "well, you should be able to multiply that one into 5000." He looked confused. I just thought...if you are going to dress the part you better know your role...sheez Anyways, Halloween was fun for us thanks to the Montanano Family!!!

Hey LIne!!! I didn't even know you started a blog...I'm soo excited. It's always so fun to be able to keep up with friends and family even if they are soo far away. I felt the same way about blogging at first, like whatever, who even cares what I have to say and who would even want to read it. I thought I would only write like a sentence or two each time, but it grew on me and got easier and more fun! Anyways, halloween looks fun in Guam, love the bbqs on every street!! i'm trying to remember Jeffs pics from halloween but I can't. I'm trying to figure out what that girl in the background in one of the pics is...and why did she write fish on her stomach???? Maybe its a chammorro thing!!! Glad you guys are doing good, Jeff would love to take our family there someday, maybe not to live....but you know!!!!
Sara, you got good eyes...I didn't even notice what was on the girls costume...LOL I think about Jeff all time as Im driving around Guam and wondering if he was ever in these areas or if he spent time on the other islands. You guys definately gotta come out while we are here so you can get good hotel discounts. I would say come stay with us but that wouldn't be a vacation. We'll see how long I can keep up with blogging...although like you said its starting to grow on me. Now I just need a class on how to make the page look pretty like you guys do.
OMG.... Our BABY Kaylena is getting SOSOSOSOSO BIG!!!!! I can't believe how big she looks. And I LOVE that Eva jumped in on Ysa's school parade!!!! So Eva Leva! How FUN for your guys' Halloween.... All our F U N happen at the Cucamonga ward trunk o treat! How about Lu WON for the CUTEST costume and Ofa was getting mad because the JUDGE (Sefesi Toki) Kept picking the kids from up the hill that DONT even attend the ward. Lu did look pretty cute as a CHEETAH girl! We missed you guys this year! We LOVE you guys! Talk to you soon!
LOL @ Ofa...thats what they get for letting Jeff be the judge. Go Lu Girl!! I need to see some pictures of that outfit.
Found your blog and its great! We only started blogging because we moved to Guam too. Although our title might be expired soon so I should have chosen a better on, oh well. I love blogging now because its a great way to vent all my frustrations of how backwards and dump this place can be. See you on your next post
